Security & Adjacencies Solutions Specialist
The Security & Adjacencies Solution Specialist will lead on the Security product portfolio & Adjacencies (IoT, Partnerships, Tech) insight that feeds into our future Solutions roadmap, Solutions build, maintenance and enhancement. The Solution Specialist will be the “glue” between the associated Product towers and Solutions, reporting into the Solutions Director but dotting into the corresponding Product towers to ensure aligned insights, working and operating model.
Accountable for building and maintaining deep product insight on the product components available within the Security & Adjacencies portfolios, the customer needs that these products cater for and the future roadmap for these products
Interfacing with their associated Product towers as a dotted line matrix, joining product meetings to maintain product insight and proximity to inform solutions
Providing solution insights, solution lens, and driving a shift towards solution thinking within their associated product tower
Accountable for informing the Future Solutions Roadmap with deep insight on their associated product tower and how / where we may be able to converge those product components with other product tower components
Accountable for a 360 insight on their product tower and associated product components – understanding the customer, market and commercial dynamics and how these need to show up in any future solution
Inform the Solution Managers on how to maintain and enhance existing solutions with future looking insight on their associated product towers
Managing key stakeholders – particularly their associated Product Directors, their associated Digital Tribe (product tower aligned), the Strategy & Insight team (for deep product insight), the Segment Sales, Commercial and Props team (for market/customer needs proximity)
Accountable for informing the business case for the Solutions, defining and influencing prioritisation of scope of work and journey design
Contribute to Solutions delivering business benefits / efficiencies to meet the MTP obligations.
- Deep product knowledge and expertise on the Security & Adjacencies Product portfolios – understands how to leverage the technology to create differentiated and competitive solutions
- Broad understanding of the telecoms and adjacent markets and associated commercial drivers
- Sound understanding and expertise in Solutions Design and Delivery in particular bundled product and technology capability for single solution customer experience
- Strong knowledge of BT Business segment customers, competitor solutions to drive value through solutions designed and delivered. Builds good understanding of where the market is heading and influences through Business products
- Practical Agile design and delivery methodology and embedding the approach in Solution Design and Delivery
- Experience in leading cross functional matrix teams and influencing in the absence of hierarchy
- Strong leadership and stakeholder sklls
- Strong negotiation skills at all levels to ensure aligned vision and direction towards a single set of strategic outcomes
- A passion and relentless drive to create and deliver optimal solutions to market that deliver growth and customer value.
- Knowledgeable in creating and delivering business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business plans)
