About the role
The John Lewis Distribution Centre Manual Network is made up of 600+ Partners across 5 Partnership sites.
In this role you will be accountable for leading the development of an effective communications strategy, and for leading and reinforcing internal engagement and wellbeing efforts that drive culture change and support Partners and Agency colleagues across the Manual Network.
Key responsibilities in this role
Working closely with Steering Group members to drive the engagement, communication and wellbeing agenda within the Manual Distribution Network for John Lewis Supply Chain, including the development of new actions and priority focus areas based on feedback received.
Acting as the point of contact for all communication, engagement and wellbeing related queries (i.e. for the Steering Group, Champions, Working Groups and any other colleagues or stakeholders)
Supporting the administration of Reward and Recognition (R&R) consistently across the manual network, ensuring an accurate and auditable process is in place
Creating the annual events calendar and organising the development of events with health and wellbeing at their core, such as events that benefit social, physical and mental wellbeing utilising Leisure Budget
Delivering a series of Health and Wellbeing actions, including scoping out new initiatives that will have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Partners and Agency colleagues, as well as setting up reminders about our existing offering
Working with the senior leadership team to shape the communication of our vision roadmap, change programmes, relevant updates and information, ensuring all Partners and agency colleagues across the network understand how their work connects and impacts the success of our business
Co-ordinating the social and charities activity across the network, liaising with the Community Liaison Coordinator to build relationships with local schools and charities
Influencing Shift Managers to seek out ways to bring engagement, reward and communications to life.
Essential skills you’ll need
A proven track record of working collaboratively with others and an ability to persuade others

Experience working in logistics or distribution
A passion for developing and delivering events that engage their colleagues
