Job Purpose:
The Supply Chain team have an opportunity within Logistics Operations for a permanent Section Manager to join the leadership team. You will become knowledgeable in all aspects of Supply Chain Operations and be expected to fully accept the responsibilities and duties of the position including working a 3-shift pattern where required.
The department you will work in will be within the Logistics Operations part of the Supply Chain and as a Section Manager you will lead teams and supervise people in Logistics sections to ensure safety and maximise efficiency in quality, velocity and cost.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and improve shop floor safety whilst eliminating unsafe processes
- Must drive safety first culture and is responsible for ensuring that thorough accident and near miss investigations are completed and corrective actions taken, ensuring that all personnel within the area adhere to all safe working practices
- Should support the Team Leads and make necessary resources available to support training within the area
- Schedule and prioritise constrained resources, and adjust staffing to meet flow and customer requirements
- Determine and execute disciplinary action when appropriate
- Implement, Manage & Coach Lean Manufacturing with Team Members
- Initiate and conduct process improvement dialogues with Team Leads and Team Members
- Drive root cause corrective action projects and drive continuous improvement
- Communicate, update, monitor and audit PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity & Cost) metrics continuously via meetings and walks

Skills, experience & qualifications you will have:
- Must have relevant Lead experience, within a Supply Chain / Logistics environment
- Previous experience in leading teams/projects
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Experience of championing and driving a positive safety culture
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers
- Coaching and development experience
Skills, experience & qualifications you may have:
- Knowledge and experience of lean BIQ and RPRT
- Safety Certification/Qualification NEBOSH, IOSH
- Prior experience working in a busy Logistics / warehouse environment
- Experience of root cause corrective action/continuous improvement projects
