Teaching Assistant needed in Ely

We are working with a fantastic Secondary School based in the Ely area to help recruit a Teaching Assistant for a long term supply role.
This is a full time position with the potential to turn into a permanent role.
The role of a Teaching Assistant is a varied one and is a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking to start their path into an Education Career
With full and part time positions available we are looking for educators from a range of backgrounds. Experience working within a school setting in a similar role would be ideal but other experience working with young people such as as a Sports Coach, Youth Leader, Drama Groups or anything similar could also be suitable.

Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Observe students’ behaviour and develop classroom discipline
- Create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
- Assess students’ skills and progress and submit reports to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers to help improve children’s learning experience
- Track student progress and submit reports to parents
- Follow all safety and health codes and requirements of the school district
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the school district
Experience
- Previous experience working with secondary aged children in any setting
- Previous school based experience would be an advantage
- Experience working with students with SEND would be desirable but not essential
- Basic Maths and English Skills
- Ability to work well with others
