Secondary School Behaviour Mentor.

Location: Mansfield.

Pay scale: £350 Take home pay

Duration: Long term, permanent role available for right candidate.

Start date: Immediate.

LTF recruitment are seeking a behaviour mentor to work within one of our fantastic partner schools in the Mansfield area. As a behaviour mentor, you will be working with students between the ages of 11-16 within an Ofsted rated ‘good’ school. The students you will be working with will have a range of different needs, supporting them emotionally and academically to ensure the students are able to engage with their academic activities and promote a positive learning environment. The right candidate will be approachable and a positive role model that can build strong relationships with the students and promote their success.

You will also be working closely with the teaching staff to identify pupils who may benefit from 1:1 work, as well as working within groups for extra curriculum activities and interventions to help pupils achieve their goals. The successful candidate will show a flexible and creative approach to learning, with knowledge and experience of working with students with additional needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with young people within a secondary school.
  • Able to work with pupils both 1:1 and in groups.
  • Provide support to pupils to promote positive behaviour and overcome learning and behavioural boundaries.
  • Celebrate achievements of pupils and build strong relationships.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team and teaching staff to set targets to improve behaviour for learning.
  • Monitor and implement development on whole School Behaviour Support policy.
