Sec Dev Ops Engineer

As a Barclays Sec Dev Ops Engineer, you will be building reliable and scalable authentication and authorization, cloud security, and secrets management systems. This is a great opportunity for you to display technical leadership alongside the ability to mentor other team members both on technical and security best practices. In your role, you will be highly experienced in coding, can be innovative and come with new solutions to difficult problems.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
- Taking full ownership for the delivery of high-quality solutions and full-end to end platforms with reliability and maintenance thought through
- Building solutions with observability and reliability built into the design thinking at the outset
- Progressing changes through the full software development life cycle, from design to production release
- Engaging with end users to discuss priorities and detail requirements
- Taking into account all user, security and usability requirements while architecting the solution
- Working actively with production support teams to quickly and effectively respond to user issues
- Expertise level programming in GoLang
- Expertise practical knowledge of automated testing tools e.g., Selenium etc
- In-depth knowledge of PKI/SSL/TLS, encryption, design patterns and algorithms
- In-depth knowledge Authentication and Authorization Protocols: JWT/OAUTH2
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Knowledge of relational and Document databases (MySql/Postgres, Mongo, etc)
- Hands-on experience with microservice architecture
- Background in Hasicorp Vault, Hashicorp Consul and Nomad
- Build systems, CI/CD (Jenkins, TC), version control: git, Kubernetes/OpenShift
