Job descriptionAn exciting position has become available within this historic and innovative business based in our cheese maturing rooms, and order fulfilment site in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire.The BusinessPaxton & Whitfield are a world renowned retailer, wholesaler and exporter of artisan cheese and fine food.The company has been the UK's leading cheesemonger for over 200 years and holds two Royal Warrants.In addition to Paxton & Whitfield's three retail sites, the Bourton-on-the-Water hub houses the cheese maturing rooms and supplies artisan cheese and fine food to customers through their website, as well as to many of the best restaurants and retailer's around the globe.The RoleWe are looking for enthusiastic staff with great energy, a passion for food and attention to detail to work in our cheese maturing rooms, warehouse and order fulfilment site. The successful applicants will perform a varied number of pick and pack and warehouse duties, fulfilling our customer's orders and ensuring that our high quality standards are met at all times. Responsibilities include:· Pick and pack the wholesale, and web orders, ensuring the product is looking superb at all times.· Check in all products into our cheese rooms and warehouse consistent with our food safety, finance and buying controls. Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.· Ensure that all products are cared for in a manner consistent with our food safety and quality procedures· Carry out accurate stock takes.· Execute the dispatch of wholesale, mail and web orders. Ensure the process is consistent with our food safety and finance controls. Ensure that paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.· Ensure all areas of the site are clean and tidy at all times· Ensure all Food Safety procedures and Health & Safety policies are carried out at all times.· Work with the cheese team to ensure the cheese is of the highest quality before reaching the final customer.Job Types: Temporary contract, Part-time, Full-timeSalary: From £10.42 per hourBenefits:Casual dressEmployee discountOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate: Bourton on the Water: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Work Location: In person
