If this sounds like you, our Seasonal Operations Coordinator FTC position, based in Dover, may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Working various shift patterns, which are available, this is a great chance to join a focused, hardworking, and bubbly team. Being computer literate, your main role will be to accurately check-in freight and tourist vehicles/passengers at either the check-in booths or the Driver’s Reception Building. Ensuring good practice of Health and Safety for your colleagues and customers, you will be assisting with loading and discharging the vessels involving communication and use of hand-held UHF radios. Having an eye for detail, this role will involve completing damage reports of unaccompanied trailers reporting for shipment.
You will help make freight reservations by email and telephone, always meeting the customer service standards set by DFDS. In addition to this, you will be responsible for handling ticket sales in cash or by credit card for both freight and tourist vehicles/passengers. Working during our peak season, May – September, you will be able to work in a fast paced and everchanging environment.
