We are looking for enthusiastic hop trainers to start training our Fuggles Hops in the hopgardens at Puttenham, near Guildford, Surrey. The hops are growing well and training or twiddling (training the young shoots to go up the strings in a clockwise rotation) is a critical part of the growing process.
It’s enjoyable and satisfactory outdoor work, and no experience is needed as we will show you exactly what to do. The job will last for approximately three weeks and the hours are from 9.30am to 4.30pm with breaks. We pay are £10.50 per hour.
You will need to bring plenty of food, water, suncream, sunglasses and a hat. We supply gloves and teaching. Please apply if interested. You must be able to drive yourself to Puttenham every day.
