About the role - SEO Specialist

The SEO specialist role sits within the marketing team with the aim of researching, implementing and measuring Sherpr’s SEO strategies across the international markets within which we operate. You will ensure strategies fit the uniqueness of each of our markets while adhering to overall brand guidelines. You will take ownership of planning and directing the creation of digital content that is optimized for search engines with the aim of improving our share of voice against competitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible of:

  • Developing and optimising Sherpr’s search engine strategies across all markets
  • Performing regular and thorough keyword research
  • Setting measurable goals that demonstrate improvements in marketing efforts
  • Monitoring daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance
  • Communicating and collaborating with wider marketing team to align goals
  • Updating and writing compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts, landing pages and page descriptions
  • Managing website backlinks for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
  • Increasing the company’s search engine results and rankings.
  • Staying up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and best practices

About you:

  • Have demonstrable experience of increasing web traffic, rankings and conversions from SEO activities
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
  • Experience in web analytics and marketing
  • Experience using SEO industry standard programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable with data and the presentation of it
  • Familiarity with WordPress CMS
  • Experience with other aspects of the digital marketing mix including social media and email marketing would be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • SEO: 3 years (required)
  • Content Management Systems (CMS)?: 3 years (preferred)
