WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.
We are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join the Securitisation Team where this role will assist the business in managing the planning, execution, governance, and internal controls necessary to run both SRT and Funding strategies.
Please note this is a hybrid role and at least 2 days a week are required in the Redhill office, we will not accept any remote applications.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing documentation for the quarterly Credit Event Verification process for Securitisation transactions and liaising with external auditors to ensure that the loss balance claimed is accurate and can be verified against source systems
- Running a Monte Carlo model to calculate potential losses for existing and future Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) securitisations
- Calculation of the monthly coupon payments to be made to investors in live SRT transactions and delivering payment instructions in an accurate and timely manner each month
- Preparation of Powerpoint slides for Internal/External stakeholders
- Analysis of the investor reports and data from public Securitisations from the wider market
- Preparing invoices for payment for each active securitisation transaction and ensuring payments are made
- Verifying swap payments made for collateral calls after verifying margin calls are correct
- Assisting with ad hoc queries for all active and future transactions
- Using models to develop an understanding how the outputs can be used in the analysis for SRTs and Stress Testing
- Assisting the monthly BAU regulatory reporting processes that ensures SCUK meets its regulatory requirements
- Providing support to the Senior Securitisation Analyst and wider Securitisation and Finance teams
What we’re looking for:
- Strong numeracy and mathematical literacy evidenced by education or work experience
- Demonstrable advanced excel skills (VBA/C# skills are a strong preference)
- Knowledge of Securitisation Regulation
- Strong knowledge of other Microsoft office applications such as Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the business
- Knowledge of Accounting & Risk (IFRS9/IRB) would be useful attributes
- Knowledge (or interest in) of Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR)
- Keen interest in financial markets
- High attention to detail
