We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong experience in JIRA and project management to join our dynamic and innovative team. While we already work using Agile methodologies, we're looking for an expert to lead the team with effective and supportive agile project management. Your project management skills ensure the success of our team in a time of rapid growth & complex projects.

As our Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in guiding our Agile development process, facilitating effective collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products. Your expertise in JIRA and project management is vital in optimising our workflows, tracking progress, reporting on team performance and identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • This is a highly collaborative role in the midst of fast growth and high expectations. You're expected to provide transparency and promote trust while maintaining a firm hand that inspires stability for the team you work with.
  • You will act as our agile coach, leading and facilitating the Scrum process and promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and adaptability within the team.
  • You will lead the involved team's daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring that Agile principles are followed and effectively executed.
  • Use your in-depth knowledge of JIRA to set up and configure projects, workflows, boards, and other relevant settings to align with the team's Agile processes and project requirements.

Other responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key product stakeholders to refine the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, prioritised, and ready for development.
  • Monitor sprint progress in JIRA, identify potential bottlenecks, and address blockers to maintain a steady pace of development and timely delivery of sprint commitments.
  • Generate and analyse relevant Agile metrics to track team performance, velocity, and other key performance indicators, providing insights to the team and management for improved decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging retrospectives, gathering feedback, and implementing process enhancements to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  • Apply your project management skills to oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budget tracking, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
  • Expertise in JIRA administration, including setting up and configuring projects, boards, and workflows.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and other Agile methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills to effectively guide the team and foster collaboration and trust.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making and process improvements.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of software development processes, SDLC, and Agile tools beyond JIRA is a plus.
  • Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) are desirable but not mandatory.
