Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Scrum Master to joining our Agile Delivery team. Our Scrum Masters facilitate and lead the Agile Teams to deliver working software according to the Product Owner’s vision. This will be in line with the technical and business strategy of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a product development team with product and business owners to ensure that new products or services are delivered to the appropriate levels of quality within the agreed sprint cycles
- Lead self-organising onshore and offshore Agile development teams
- Ensure that the appropriate Agile metrics and artefacts are produced and communicated to enable the team and product owner to make informed decisions
- Communicate effectively with all product stakeholders, ensuring the right information is recorded, reported and distributed in the correct format, to the right people and in good time
- Collate and present product, productivity and quality feedback to the team and other stakeholders
- Understand the abilities and priorities within the Scrum team, and encourage and facilitate objectives and improvement around these
- Create a high performing team; resolve internal and external conflicts and establish an atmosphere of continuous improvement
- Identify the root causes of any delivery issues and work with the team to introduce corrective actions; remove all product delivery obstructions; Mercilessly blast through product obstructions — with a smile
- Assist with gathering and clarifying product and project requirements as required
Education & Experience:
- A Scrum Master who truly believes in the principles of Agile and not just the processes
- Certified Scrum Master accreditation via a recognised industry source with demonstrable industry experience (3 years minimum).
- Have a passion for software development and a good understanding of iterative and incremental software development. Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team.
- Exposure to Atlassian tools desirable. Understand the value of agile artefacts and metrics (backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition)
- First class facilitation and motivational skills to enable the team to effectively plan each sprint and achieve constructive retrospectives that lead to improved team performance
- Able to relate to both business and technology people
