US Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance is required for this position.
In this position, you will draw upon your knowledge and experience with systems, software, cloud, and Agile to support a complex program to provide Agile governance. You will have the opportunity to transform an existing program into a functioning Agile team over time. You will train and coach multiple teams and associated stakeholders in Agile principles and best practices.
The Agile Coach will provide guidance and training around the creation and ongoing maintenance of backlogs, artifacts, tracking and reporting metrics as well as facilitating team events as required. This is a strategic position, working across all levels of management and personnel. This position requires working effectively across teams of contractors, subcontractors and government stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish Agile teams and provide interactive initial and ongoing coaching to stakeholders and teams.
- Coach teams & leaders on the mindset change required to transform their existing development practices to follow agile methodologies.
- Assess the Agile maturity of the teams and then coaches those teams to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of Agile programs and recommend training modifications as necessary.
- Proactively collaborate and communicate with internal/external stakeholders to address Agile knowledge gaps to support Agile effectiveness.
- Work with teams to become effective and efficient in their use of Agile practices
- Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with the teams and individuals that they are coaching/training to build trust.
- Cultivate the capabilities of each team member in their specific roles and enable them to deliver customer value rapidly.
- Drive the required cultural transformation in adopting the new way of working i.e agile development methodologies.
- Participate and contribute actively to continuously evolve processes to align to enterprise agile transformation strategy.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience working in an Agile/Scrum leadership capacitySAFe Scrum Master, or Certified Scrum Master certification(s) required.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and facilitation skills.
- Experience with acting as a coach for, and leading development teams.
- Strong working knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support, including the ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
- Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree required
