In IT Applications Team, we are committed to developing an agile and effective delivery capability to support our business.

We are growing our capability to deliver software solutions for Quilter using cloud technologies for new and transitioning applications.

About the Role

Our Scrum Masters work with delivery teams to drive process excellence through Agile delivery. You will look to optimise the productivity of teams and collaborate with the Product Owners to bring new functionality and technical improvements to realisation.
You will apply good practices in Agile and identify ways of working to drive the efficiency of teams and to deliver against business objectives.
Facilitate daily scrums and coordinate all agile events including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and manage dependencies including 3rd party liaison.
You will hold sprint retrospective meetings, using outputs to improve the delivery of subsequent sprints and drive continuous improvement. Working closely with our Product Owners and delivery teams to ensure the product backlog is clearly defined ready for the next sprint.
Engage with partners across Quilter to manage blockers and optimise performance. This will remove impediments and align all parties to ensure delivery of the right solution.
Coordinate reporting to articulate delivery progress, risks, issues, team performance and key decisions.
Assessing the Agile maturity of teams, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and practical problem solving. You will also be expected to keep up to date with Agile good practices to ensure efficient processes across Quilter.
You will develop strong and trusted relationships with our Product Owners, other business stakeholders and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be a proven Scrum Master within a Scrum/Agile software delivery environment with proficient knowledge of the Scrum methodology with at least one of the following qualifications, CSM, A-CSM, PSM or APMG.
You should have a strong technology background, ideally with experience and understanding of the challenges and practices in scaling across delivery teams.
You will be able to demonstrate that you can enable multi-disciplinary teams and third-party suppliers to ensure effective delivery. Drive innovation and challenge the status quo!
There will be the expectation to present to the business so you will need to have strong professional presentation skills.
Ideally, you will have experience in implementing DevOps good practices and have a background in Financial Services however this is desirable but not essential to role.
