To be a scrum master within a cross-functional mechatronics engineering team developing self-pierce rivet solutions.


Key Responsibilities

As a scrum master project manager, you will be responsible for:


  • Supporting the success of multiple R&D projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, deliverables, budget, and cost targets
  • Managing product specifications and verification and timing plans, ensuring stakeholder needs are met and roadblocks are addressed
  • Mentoring a cross-functional global team to achieve effective delivery of solutions
  • Coordinating team activities, resources, and dependencies
  • Communicating effectively with internal departments, stakeholders, and third parties
  • Mentoring, coaching, and training in agile project delivery and an agile mindset
  • Questioning the status quo, and continuously driving improvements and innovation


  • Other Duties
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the company
  • Deputise for the New Product Introduction Manager when required


Education/Qualifications/Experience


Essential

  • 3+ years of experience as a scrum master, ideally with a focus on new product introduction
  • Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
  • Experience in leading cross-functional, distributed teams using agile techniques
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative mindset to drive product, team, and personal growth
  • Ability to mentor and support individuals and teams


Desirable

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in technical/project management or engineering or relevant professional experience
  • Experience with scaling agile practices (e.g. SAFe, Scrum at Scale)
  • Knowledge of schedule-driven project management methodologies (e.g. stage gate, PRINCE2, PMQ)
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies for mechatronic product development
  • Familiarity with lean product development and interaction with agile techniques
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 technology trends and enabling technologies


Person Specification


As a Scrum Master, you'll play a crucial role in leading our R&D software/controls projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, deliverables, budget, and cost targets. You'll oversee a cross-functional team across global locations to achieve project goals, keeping the team motivated, focused, and on track with clear targets and milestones. In addition, your ability to effectively follow processes will help maintain the high-quality delivery of our products and services, contributing to customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include managing resources effectively and efficiently, fostering strong communication and relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders, defining and owning product specifications, leading project meetings and reporting project status, and improving project management processes.
