Available Opportunities
£25,000 - £45,000 plus benefits (depending on level of qualifications and experience)
We are currently searching for highly-motivated and talented individuals to join our team in Oxford, supporting the development and production of high-quality modified oligonucleotides. Job roles are at laboratory technician or scientist level, depending on the candidates’ qualifications and experience.
Working closely with other members of the oligonucleotide team, successful candidates will be involved in carrying out cutting-edge oligonucleotide synthesis, purification and analysis, in addition to other laboratory work, following SOPs and working to ISO 9001 standard.
With a background in a relevant sector, the postholder will be familiar with good laboratory practices, accurate record keeping and general laboratory housekeeping.
Candidates may be considered for more senior roles if they can demonstrate solid organic chemistry knowledge and/or experience of the processes involved in oligonucleotide production, such as solid phase chemistry, purification techniques or analysis.
We are searching for candidates who have:
- BSc, MSc or PhD degree in chemistry (or closely related discipline).
- Experience working in a chemistry laboratory (industrial experience preferred).
- Experience in common laboratory processes, including mass spectrometry or HPLC purification.
- Proven ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in nucleic acid chemistry or oligonucleotide synthesis is desirable but not required. An eagerness to learn is more important as full training will be provided.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the exciting field of nucleic acid chemistry and trained by nucleic acid chemistry experts.
