What is the role?
We have an exciting opportunity for a scientist to work in our talented science team helping to develop two of our software programs. These programs aim to identify and control impurity and degradant formation in pharmaceutical drug products to aid chemical safety assessments. Your job will involve collecting, curating, and analysing data to develop ‘rules’ that will be embedded in the software. As such, you will be at the forefront of the scientific development of this software and can determine its direction and growth.
Why you?
Do you want to work somewhere where you can have an impact on day one? Do you want to work somewhere you can make a positive impact for yourself and others? If so you’re the type of person we are looking for!
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious scientist with excellent attention to detail and a keen problem-solving mind. You should hold (or be near to completion of) a PhD in a relevant biological or chemical science, ideally organic chemistry. Postdoctoral level or equivalent experience in a relevant biological or chemical science would also be advantageous. Other skills and attributes include:
- Knowledge of organic chemistry, in particular reaction mechanisms
- Experience in searching, retrieving, and curating scientific data
- The ability to identify and interpret structure-activity trends and formulate rules from complex chemical data
- The ability to work autonomously but also cohesively in a small team
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organisational skills
