We're looking for a talented and motivated NLP Research Intern to join our research team working currently in the NLP/Document Understanding field. In this role, you will apply your skill to help our team to build cutting edge technology (eg. new complex multi-modal models) that will later be integrated into the Snowflake platform.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Embraced as a full member of the Snowflake research team

WHAT WE EXPECT:

  • BS or MSc in progress in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
  • Familiarity with Python and Deep Learning libraries such as PyTorch or Tensorflow (experience in NLP field will be a plus)
  • Familiarity with recent advances in NLP/CV with understanding of the basic classes of ML/DL algorithms
  • Prior exposure to the software development lifecycle, and a commitment to implementing these practices appropriately in the context
  • High levels of curiosity and eager enthusiasm for open-ended problems
  • Ability to produce solutions independently in an organized manner while working in a team
  • Some track record in conferences from the AI/NLP domain will be a strong asset
  • Duration: 4 month minimum, 6 months recommended, up to 12 months supported, start date flexible

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN/GAIN:

  • Experience working with world-class experts on cutting edge research projects
  • Experience in creating research papers in the AI/NLP domain
  • Collaborate with product management, and other software engineers to deliver new customer-facing features
  • Develop new 3rd party integrations which contribute to expanding the functionality of the Snowflake application and deliver an awesome, consistent user experience
