School Operations Manager
Location: St Thomas More Catholic School, Croftdale Road, Blaydon-On-Tyne, NE21 4BQ
Grade: Grade N, (£49,590 - £52,724 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Permanent, Full Time
St Thomas More Catholic School is a co-educational Catholic Academy which provides for the education needs of 11-18 year old pupils from the west of Gateshead L.A. We are part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and have a strong commitment to Catholic Education.

We have an exceptional opportunity for a School Operations Manager to join our management team with responsibility for leading and managing our non-academic operations including, estates management, administration, policy, health and safety and HR. Candidates should have experience of working in a fast-paced environment and be able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery and success across a wide operational remit.
We are seeking an individual to:
- Oversee the day to day running of the school’s operations and key school support services in the areas of administration.
- Be responsible for the development and implementation of systems and procedures which ensure operational excellence across the school.
- To work in partnership with the Trust Central Teams to support the implementation of central Trust functions including finance, estates, human resources, procurement and governance.
- To promote collaborative professional working relationships and development across the whole school
- To provide oversight to premises and facilities management across the school.
- To provide line management of support staff.
- To contribute to the strategic leadership of the school.
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree and/or a school business management qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in driving operational improvement.
- The ability to manage and inspire teams to deliver their best.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and clearly both written and verbal information to a wide variety of stakeholders.
