Counterpoise Wellness practitioners are experts within their fields and great team players. Each team member brings a wealth of experience that informs their practice and allows them to support clients from a place of knowing, not just from their professional background but from their personal experiences too. We are a multi-disciplined team committed to helping our clients receive support in all areas of their health and well-being journey. We are excited to be recruiting for a School Counsellor. This position is a part-time role, 2 days a week based in of one our partner schools in London.
You will be: -A driven, personable, good-humoured practitioner
-Experienced working with Children and understanding student needs.
-Adaptable and fun.
-A practitioner able to lone work and be part of a multidisciplinary team -Someone keen to be part of a developing business -Registered with appropriate regulatory body e.g. HCPC/ BACP, UKCP -Minimum 3 years as a practising therapist -Have proof of Public Liability Insurance -Have good knowledge of calendar, mail and booking systems -Resilience and the ability to cope with challenging situations
-Current Enhanced Children and Adult DBS Clearance (or be willing to undergo this)
Bonus points if you: -Have specialist training in Trauma, EMDR and/or Eating Disorders, EDI -Confident in representing CPW in other areas of its work
-Experience in delivering group sessions

Outline of the role:
- To provide face-to-face individual therapy to students
- To provide virtual individual therapy to clients (occasionally)
- To attend regular external clinical supervision
- To attend team meetings
- Ensuring your diary is kept up to date on our digital booking system
- To have the capacity to work autonomously and within the BACP, UKCP or HCPC ethical frameworks
- Internal oversight and support will also be provided by our Internal Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality support to a range of clients face-to-face and virtually
- To have the capacity to work autonomously and within the BACP, UKCP or HCPC (or other relevant registering body) ethical frameworks
- To write case notes following each session (digital case note system)
- Working flexibly to meet the needs of the service
- Attending induction sessions as required
- Fulfilling administrative tasks
- Maintaining professional codes of conduct at all times
- Following safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and other protocols as necessary
- Keeping clear lines of communication with all relevant colleagues
- Liaising with other professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients
