Job description
The Governors of Brookfield Primary School are seeking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable individual to support the work of our Governing Board. The post requires attendance of Full Governing Board, Committee meetings and extraordinary meetings spread across the year which will be in person / virtual.
The successful candidate will be accountable to the governing board, working effectively and closely with the Chair of Governors, Headteacher and other Governors.
They will be responsible for advising the Governing Board on constitutional and procedural matters, duties and powers, work within the current legislative framework, secure the continuity of Governing Body business, provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body and its committees and observe confidentiality requirements at all times.
The ideal candidate will be an effective and efficient administrator who will be capable of organising meetings, preparing agendas, accurately recording minutes and disseminating information in a timely manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good degree of IT literacy are essential.
Previous clerking experience and knowledge of Governing Body procedures is desirable, but full training can be offered.
