Vacancies – Part time Term Time School Drivers (20 – 25 hours per week) Greenock and Renfrewshire area
McGill’s Bus Service Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned Bus Company and employs around 1400 staff across the Group.
We now have vacancies for part time school drivers (Term time only). These roles are located within the Greenock/ Inverclyde and Renfrewshire area. Hours of work are approximately 20 hours per week working Monday – Friday. The role of School Driver involves transporting school pupils in a safe, timely and proper manner to and from schools ensuring that pupil’s welfare is paramount at all times.
There may also be the opportunity to work as a Private Hire Coach Driver as and when Private Hires occur within the business.
The successful candidates must have a Current PCV licence, valid CPC card and an up-to-date Tachocard is required.
Key responsibilities
· To maintain a high standard of customer care and service presentation
· To drive the vehicle in a safe and considerate manner
· Be fully conversant with company rules, regulations and procedures and apply them whilst on duty
Qualifications/Skills
· PCV licence and CPC card
· Excellent driving skills
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Courteous, helpful attitude towards customers
· Flexible approach to work
· ability to obtain clearance via SPT & Disclosure Scotland is required.
School Driver (term time) rate of pay is currently £13.00 per hour. We provide a dedicated Training & Development programme and a support team of like-minded colleagues.
