We’re looking for a Scheduling Assistant for BBC One Wales and BBC Two Wales.
As part of the Marketing and Audiences team based in the BBC’s broadcast centre in Cardiff, you’ll be assisting the Scheduling Manager in planning a wide range of TV programmes to make our channels as relevant as possible to audiences in Wales.
From news to live sport and from UK-wide drama to documentaries, these programmes are part of the wider BBC One and BBC Two schedules, and contingency planning for always keeping our channels running smoothly will also be an important part of your role.
Main ResponsibilitiesTo enter and maintain information in systems and databases accurately and efficiently, providing reports where required.
Help maintain ‘off schedule’ plans, providing assistance to production teams delivering content.
Make recommendations as part of teamwork with Scheduling Manager, taking into account compliance and suitability for our audience.
Contribute ideas on own initiative and maintain a current knowledge of trends.
Are you the right candidate?
Good IT skills with an understanding of Microsoft Excel and system databases.
Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
Highly motivated, organised and flexible with the ability to deal with last minute changes.
Time management, planning and prioritising skills and the ability to meet fixed deadlines under pressure

Contract: Permanent Full Time
Location: Cardiff
