Overview:
Experience:
The Scheduler attends the desk, performs clerical and receptionist duties, schedules procedures and facilitates communication between staff, in-house departments, physicians and their offices, other hospitals, patients, families and visitors.
Responsibilities:- Accurately performs clerical duties related to the processing, scheduling, and coordinating of services pertaining to the patient. Maintain accurate departmental files, records and reports. Performs order entry for lab requests.
- Assists in the maintenance and ordering of stock and office supply inventory.
- Accurately demonstrates ability to process clinical information related to scheduling procedures. Accurately maintain and distribute schedule.
- Act as liaison with related departments with changes to the schedule.
- Performs work according to rules, regulations, policies and guidelines; complies with standards in the Code of Conduct.
- Flexible to schedule; performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Posts data to various records and forms, makes and maintains charts, gathers data from various sources and prepares reports, answers and files correspondence and performs similar duties requiring the exercise of clerical and office skills. Posts information to records, maintains files and records.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Medical Terminology.
Experience:
Sufficient previous office experience or clerical experience needed.
