Salary $19.00 - $22.00
Full-Time Monday - Friday Rotating Hours
JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position serves as a radiology scheduler to assist patients with setting up radiology exams for our multi-modality outpatient centers. Our centers provide a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment. Job functions will be modified and improved as necessary to promote a team effort.

ESSENTIAL FUNSCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list many not include all of the responsibilities assigned).
- Properly schedule all procedures and answer incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Place calls to referring physicians for patients expressing difficulty with scheduling.
- Enter accurate information in the system for appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellation and comment.
- Update account information at the point of scheduling.
- Utilize Medinformatix filter screens to answer questions associated with insurance, procedures, and preps.
- Scans documents, input clinical data as needed for appointment.
- Displays excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Answers incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner; follows scheduling protocols.
- Updates account information at the point of scheduling.
- Communicates and interacts with all departments effectively.
- Gives patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provides directions to facilities.
- Communicates, cooperates, and consistently functions professionally and harmoniously with all levels of supervision, co-workers, patients, visitors, and vendors.
- Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism and integrity, and exercises confidentiality in all areas.
- Completes job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.

Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, other members of the healthcare team, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience preferred but willing to train the right person.
