Job Description: -
As a working painter/sprayer you will be responsible for applying primer coats, main coats, lacquers and fillers to a variety of different materials inc. polystyrene, polyurea hard coat, fibreglass, wood and others, in accordance with design specifications. These are used to produce 3D props, tronics, sleighs and visual seasonal displays.
The candidate must have a good understanding of painting, finishing products and processes, be able to discuss types of colours, patterns, or styles to be used when painting and work from visuals that have been approved by the customer.
Key Points: -
· Must have previous working experience within a painting role
· Prepare and apply paint to various products and props in line with the production schedule
· Sand down, prep and mask off production items where necessary
· Ensure the smooth transition of stock from painting to the next department
· Select, match and mix colour and shades
· The ability to use, clean and maintain equipment, including paint booths
· Responsible for the quality of product finishes
· Must have a good attention to detail
· Work to deadlines
· Keep your area tidy
· Ensure stock levels are maintained
· Use the polyurea hard coat machine as and when required
· Contribute and assist in other departments within the Company as and when required
· Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines at all times - ensure PPE is regularly checked
· Assist in the installation and takeout of displays and decorations
· Self-motivated and a good team player
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere

Salary up to £15p/h - £29,250 p/a depending on experience
