Scenic Carpenter
Eclipse Presentations have been a leading name in the world of creative technical event production for over 25 years, having delivered projects across a breadth of clients and across a number of industries. Every project is different but we provide audiences with a total visual and audio experience to remember.
With exciting plans in place for the future we are now looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team.
Main duties and responsibilities
Produce quality carpentry for all event requirements to include:
- Constructing bespoke timber frames/units
- Using CNC machine to create bespoke shaped set & furniture items
- Repair of any damaged set items
- Available to go onsite as and when required for installs and derigs on more complex builds
- Prioritise incoming work and builds
- Ensure work is built correctly within the agreed time schedules and to the specification required
- Ensure workshop tools are maintained and kept securely and safely
- Able to be proactive within the workshop
- Able to liaise with project managers regarding builds and projects
- Covering various set items in felt/PVC/Canvas and other materials
- Painting
- Maintain and assist in the efficient running of the warehouse to include assisting the Workshop Manager with organising the workshop and oversee installation crews on site
- Help with the day to day running of Scenic
- Loading & unloading vehicles
- Keeping the warehouse & yard clean & tidy
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Required to work at various sites when projects dictate
Essential skills and experience
· Knowledge and experience of using CNC machinery would be desirable.
· Demonstrable experience as a staging carpenter in particular set building, cabinet making, exhibition stand builder
· Current and demonstrable experience working within a busy professional workshop environment
· Previous experience working at or being involved at an organisational level on site
· Will have a thorough and logical approach to work

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
