The Opportunity
As a Scaffolder, the main purpose of the role is to erect, dismantle and alter scaffold as part of a scaffolding team.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
> Select serviceable scaffold tubes, boards and fittings, using them correctly and safely
> Select, inspect, assemble and install prefabricated beams into and onto scaffold structures
> Erect scaffold safely and correctly
> Install spurs and rakers within the correct operating angles. Attach check fittings, droppers and puncheons in the correct positions to scaffolds
> Install anchor ties and other specialist fixings to the manufacturer’s recommendations
> Select, space and install the correct amount of ties to restrain sheeted and un-sheeted scaffolds in unexposed areas, to current industry practices
> Inspect basic scaffolds prior to handover
Working Hours – Mon-Thurs 37.5hrs Std Rate + Friday 7.5hrs OT1
Project Duration – 3 months (possible extension to support further upcoming projects on site)
Rates –
Standard: £17.89 per hour
Overtime R1- £26.83 per hour
Overtime R2- £35.78 per hour
The Person
The ideal candidate for the job must hold a valid CISRS Basic Scaffold card in order to do the job, equivalent to NVQ Level 2.
They will have knowledge of Layher/Cuplock/Haki/Plettac system scaffold, as well as an understanding of safe work practices.
Essential:
> Part 1/ Part 2 Scaffold training
> A minimum of 2 years scaffold experience
> Health and safety tested
