What you'll do
To drive the Group Sanctions and Trade Controls key programme objectives to strengthen the operation of its compliance programme within Group and support local market champions. The role will help develop embed the pillars of the global trade and sanctions compliance programme to address the risks of breaching sanctions and trade controls in the context of Vodafone’s TechCo strategy and the evolving role of the Legal & Business Integrity function.
- Work alongside Group Trade Controls & Group Sanctions compliance managers in implementing the sanctions and trade controls programme
- Overseeing the governance tools underpinning both the sanctions and trade programmes
- Act as day-to-day contact for Sanctions & Trade Controls champion role for Group (‘VGSL’) functions
- Deliver training on current trade controls and sanctions regulation and related issues.
- Be critical in managing sanctions and trade related queries from internal stakeholders
- Manage assurance activity tracking such as the review and monitoring of local market control
Who you are
- Experience in working within sanctions and trade controls Compliance
- Understanding of how US and EU sanctions and trade controls impacts a major telecommunications operator such as Vodafone in its business activities
- Experience in supporting assurance of compliance frameworks
- Skilled at translating draft policy updates and guidance into user friendly and creative summaries for nontechnical stakeholders
- Ability to analyse and summarise regulatory updates and translate into succinct updates for team’s electronic sites such as Workplace
