The teams in this Business Line contribute, along with the Group's geographical entities, to supporting local authorities and companies in their environmental transition, as well as citizens to facilitate their access to a more sustainable consumption.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Salary: £21954.15
Location: Consett
Hours: 42.5, Monday-Friday and work 1 Saturday in 5.

Purpose of the role:
To assist Senior Technicians, Team Leader and management. Preparation and extraction of samples and housekeeping. Basic analysis where applicable. Delivery of key objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Soil sample preparation:
Reception of Samples.
Recording of samples using the Regmaster system.
Storage and retrieval of samples from stores .
Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
Ensuring Quality procedures are adhered to.
Data entry into LIMS and Regmaster system.
Housekeeping, ensuring the laboratory work area is clean, tidy and free from rubbish.
Preparation of samples including traying out, crushing, drying, making leachates, weighing, etc.
Describing the soil type and logging the description of soil samples into LIMS.
Assist in water sample preparation when required.
Water sample preparation:
Spilt Waters.
Filter Waters .
Fix Waters.
Recording and Storage of water samples.
Preparation of leachates.
Housekeeping, ensuring the laboratory work area is clean, tidy and free from rubbish.
Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
Ensuring Quality procedures are adhered to.
Disposal of waters.
Assist in soil sample preparation when required.
Which skills and experiences you will need to succeed in this role?
Qualifications required:
A minimum of G.C.S.E grade C or above in Science, Maths and English is desirable. Forklift truck licence is desirable.
Experience required:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a production/warehouse environment.
Desired experience but not essential:
Industry Experience.
Additional skills required:
