The opportunity:
Zurich Insurance UK is expanding its DevOps team to meet the growing demand for application development, DevOps practices, and innovation. Join the DevOps Salesforce team as a Salesforce Developer within IT at Zurich. You'll work on the business-as-usual team, ensuring our portfolio of over 20 Salesforce applications is robustly maintained and continuously improved.
Your workload will be diverse, including reducing technical debt, resolving incidents, and collaborating with Salesforce Admins and Developers on operationally focused projects and small changes. With Zurich's strategic use of Salesforce across various Orgs, you'll have the chance to gain extensive Salesforce experience.

What are we looking for?
- Entry to mid-level Salesforce developer
- Passion for Salesforce development and its potential for business support
- Understanding of best development practices and a commitment to following and contributing to them
- Experience with Apex, including classes, triggers, SOQL, and unit testing. Familiarity with Flow, including an understanding of when to use code vs low-code.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to engage with stakeholders to understand change and configuration requirements
- Ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to personal development
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse team with varied backgrounds and skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with Apex Web Services, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Lightning Aura Components, Batch or Scheduled Apex
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I / Salesforce Platform Developer II / other Salesforce Certifications
- Experience using tools like JIRA for workload management and hour logging
- Familiarity with source control, Git, or external deployment tools like Gearset
