Role purpose-
We have a great new opportunity here Aesop to join our growing Wholesale and Travel team to drive Wholesale & Travel retail performance within their designated portfolio, to the highest Aesop standard practices and processes, resulting in exceptional customer experience and strong sales results.
To lead training and education for Aesop, covering all key wholesale partner locations with a focus on travel retail but across multi-brand retail, niche perfumeries, pureplay online and distributor market.
To develop and execute the regional wholesale and travel retail training material, working closely with the regional retail training and capability teams.
To fully represent and promote Aesop within wholesale and travel retail partners
This Hybrid-role will be based in London with some travel involved.
Main responsibilities-
Drive performance across wholesale / Travel Retail channel, with a customer centric approach, focused on operational and brand excellence
Coach, develop and lead a high performing Travel Retail team, working in strong partnership with the Counter Manager, Travel Retail
Act as a conduit between head office & Travel Retail and Wholesale & cascade communications in an effective and timely manner
Collaborating with the EMEA business development team, helping to coordinate training and education workshops either within the Aesop office, virtually or on site with our wholesale partners teams across the region
Working and aligning with the Aesop retail training and capability teams, to ensure all training materials are edited to be wholesale channel focussed taking into account the partners product range and retail environment
Ensuring overall presence of the brand within our partners stores aligns with Aesop global guidelines in terms of visual merchandising standards and the customer experience
Ensuring all partner team members, be they Aesop employees or third-party employees are both informed and inspired by the Aesop brand
Providing feedback to business development teams around market insights, competitor activity and identifying opportunities for the further growth of the Aesop brand, be it through product or the customer experience
Building relationships with key contacts within our partner retailers – becoming a trusted go to member of the EMEA wholesale team in relation to training and education
Ensuring all activity is carried out within budget
Compiling a sound plan / training calendar to ensure new product launches and campaigns are covered in a timely manner, prioritising key partners and channels
Promote and uphold the Aesop name and behaviours throughout all interactions with store staff
Responsible for recruitment of Aesop dedicated consultants within EMEA Travel Retail locations
What we are looking for-
Several years’ experience within a training and educational role focussed on Relevant experience within a luxury cosmetics / lifestyle consumer brand
Proven experience training and educating a retail focussed luxury brand, ideally within skincare and or cosmetics
Experience within UK and EMEA travel retail highly desirable
Highly developed and engaging interpersonal skills
A confident and experienced presenter who can communicate at all levels, clearly and succinctly
Strong cultural awareness with the ability to develop and maintain strong effective relationships
European language skills would be a significant advantage
An ability and willingness to travel and deal with ambiguity
