Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

The Opportunity
The Industrial Power Systems organisation is a Division within Caterpillar which is responsible for the development of power system solutions for both our internal and external customers. The Enterprise Power Solutions team are part of the Industrial Power System Division, based in Peterborough and responsible for providing power solutions to Caterpillar off-highway machine customers. The team manage all aspects of the Product Lifecycle as well as the technical and commercial relationship with our customers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Support Specialist to join the Enterprise Power Solution Team to help deliver vertically integrated power solutions for our Cat Machine Group customers.
Within this role you will work closely with Account Managers and Cat Machine Group product groups to support the delivery of customer account strategies. This is a diverse role which will require an ability to work and collaborate across cultures, time zones and roles globally. This is a great opportunity to be involved with the introduction of innovative products and services and to work with teams based in North America, China. Brazil, India and Europe.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Development of effective relationships both internally within the Industrial Power Systems Division and customer teams to ensure an effective partnership is maintained and enhanced.
Support the Enterprise Power Solutions Account Managers in the development of customer account strategies ensuring the Industrial Power Systems Division is best positioned to be the power solution provider of choice.
Act as a point of escalation for engine supply issues, working closely with the IPSD and CMG supply chain teams.
Raise customer cost requests and assist Account Managers in reviewing engine cost data before inputting into customer NPI programs
Act as key contact for engine up certification and engine emissions exemption management across the EMD and EXD teams
Own the input of monthly engine short term forecast via S&OP and Long term forecast for a selection of CMG accounts.
Lead the team in the development and execution of LEAN process improvement projects.
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Previous experience of one or more of the following areas Demand & Orders, Logistics, Planning, New Product Introduction, Sales or Marketing
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Professional confident manner.
Ability to build effective relationships across teams, cultures and geographic locations
Must be analytical with the ability to present findings and make recommendations
Demonstrated ability to effectively work to process, manage personal workload and provide a positive contribution to a team.
Understanding and competent use of IPSD / Caterpillar business processes and tool such as ERP systems.
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Knowledge of Industrial and construction business sectors
Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually where needed
High levels of initiative and good judgement
Additional Information: Travel: 10% (outside Covid restrictions)
