Are you looking to apply your scientific knowledge to help advance research across the life sciences field? If you have a passion for science and expertise in primary cell culture and want to take your science "off the bench", consider a career in Scientific Sales!As a member of our Sales team, you will use your scientific knowledge and interpersonal skills to support great science by advising our academic and industrial partners to help drive their research forward. You’ll work to identify and acquire new customers to drive new business, while also managing existing accounts and relationships in your region. In this role you will have a broad and immediate impact on scientific discovery by leveraging your scientific expertise and strategic thinking to provide expert consultation and become a trusted ally in the scientific process.
Please note that while this is a remote opportunity, there is travel required within the the assigned territory as part of the role.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Forecast, develop and execute territory strategies to achieve or exceed revenue target in assigned territory on a quarterly basis
Leverage product knowledge to develop, grow and maintain customer relationships and perform product demonstrations
Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers within the territory, through prospecting, emails, phone calls, and virtual and in-person meetings
Document communications and keep the customer relationship management (CRM) database up to date
Knowledge and Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Life Sciences with primary cell culture experience (previous Sales experience is an asset, but not required)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Broad knowledge in area of expertise, including products, processes, practices, and approaches
Demonstrate expertise in the competitor landscape and proficiency on the entire product portfolio
Display proficiency in lab skills and ability to troubleshoot complex customer issues
