Job Purpose
To represent and promote the Company with customers and to generate sales enquiries and orders from both new and existing accounts, to achieve budgeted sales within territory.
We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious individual to cover this area for us across our broad portfolio of decorative products. Including flooring, kitchen worktops, and decorative panel among others (see idsurfaces.co.uk website), in this key area of North and East Scotland, the candidate is expected to reside in the territory.
Qualifications required
· 5 A-C GCSE’s or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
· Product knowledge of laminates, worktops, Flooring, Solid Surface or panel products is an advantage but not essential
· Minimum 2 years’ sales experience preferred
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Driving Licence and willingness to undertake travel
Key Results Areas
· Identify key accounts and build strong relationships with those customers, providing an excellent standard of ongoing customer care
· Plan territory visits to ensure that customers are contacted at the required frequency
· Be proactive and assertive in seeking new business and re-activating dormant accounts
· Negotiate sales deals that will achieve budgeted margins and which conform to the Company’s sales policies
· Gather competitor and customer information and report weekly on general market activity to the Branch Manager
· Maintain a growing and existing customer portfolio
· Using the IT reporting system ‘Sales-I’ to help manage, develop and achieve sales budgets whilst updating and maintaining relevant market and customer information
