Job Title: Sales Executive (Delegate Relations)

What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our London-based Delegate Relations sales team where you will be selling delegate places across our portfolio of events as well as maintaining relationships with our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative, social and hard-working individual who is eager to learn and looking to kick-start their career in sales.

Working for one of our award-winning brands, Investment Week, as well as working alongside Business Green and Professional Pensions. You will be responsible for selling delegate and table sales and licencing revenues across our events. Our new Sales Executive will need to secure new revenue from a wide variety of clients through existing accounts and new business opportunities. This will be done by generating business over the phone and face to face.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for generating and maximising your own sales results
- Maintain these relationships with regular check-ins and client meetings
- Using your own sales skills to sell and increase revenue and market share
- Having a thorough knowledge of all your competitors’ activity and keep competitor information to hand and share with the wider team when necessary
- Adhering to guidelines established by sales management with regards to yield, value added sales and discounting
- Understand the drivers in your market each week
The ideal candidate will have:
- Some sales/media sales/account management experience would be advantageous
- Relationship building skills
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to your work
- Dirven and organised with high attention to detail
- Excellent phone manner, time keeping and work ethic
- Determination to convert every call into a booking
- A willingness to learn and take on new ideas
- An ability to take constructive criticism and to apply necessary changes
- Self-motivation and discipline
- Team playing qualities whilst remaining competitive in a shared goal
- Willing to work hard and learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective time management; strong commercial acumen; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
