Sales Consultant - Payment Solutions
Basic Salary between £30,000 and £35,000 + OTE + benefits
Home based in UK
My client is a market leading provider of software solutions for the leisure and fitness sector and part of their product includes a payment solution both for online and offline payments. This new role has been created to focus on the merchant services part of their offering which is predominantly used by their small to medium size customers in the form of chip and pin machines and acquiring services. We're looking for someone with a good knowledge of the merchant services/payments sector to reach out to existing customers in the main but also to target competitor clients. They are currently working on a new integration for the core software so there is a lot of opportunity for existing customer engagement.
The Role:
- This position is a sales role, selling into the sports and leisure sector. The product is a payments module and solution that goes hand in hand with the core leisure management software that the company produce. You'd be working closely with an existing Payments Consultant who manages the online gateway and direct debits part of the product as well as with the wider sales team.
- Your remit would be merchant services, so chip and pin terminals and acquiring services and you'd be selling this both to existing customers who use a different payment solution, new customers being won by the core sales team (advising the customer on the merchant services element of the solution) and also targeting competitor business.
- This will be a home based role, working mostly over the phone and through online demo rather than visiting customers but there would be trade shows to visit and the odd client visit if needed to win the business.
- You'll also do all of the end of contract follow up for existing customers to make sure they renew or upgrade year on year.
The Person:
- We're looking for someone with experience selling merchant services on a business to business basis.
- You'll have experience of phone and teams based selling and be comfortable working from home rather than being out in the field for the majority of the time.
- It's important that you can engage the finance teams of clients to explain how the integration works and minimise the concern over changing from an existing solution.
- You'll have great communication skills, be confident and credible and be used to using a CRM system and Microsoft applications.
The Package:
- A basic salary between £30,000 and £35,000 is offered depending on experience
- An OTE around £10k on top is also available based on sales performance
