Roles/Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Solar Field Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling solar energy systems and products to residential and commercial customers.
Your primary goal will be to conduct sales presentations, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities:
1. Visit potential customers to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
2. Conduct sales presentations: Conduct in-person or virtual sales presentations to educate customers about the benefits of solar energy. Present our solar energy solutions, explain the cost savings, environmental advantages, and answer any questions or concerns.
3. Assess customer needs: Understand customers' energy requirements and recommend suitable solar energy systems based on their specific needs. Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of solar panel installations and gather necessary information.
4. Provide quotes and proposals: Prepare accurate and detailed quotes and proposals for customers, outlining the costs, system specifications, and estimated ROI. Ensure all proposals are customized to address customers' unique requirements.
5. Negotiate contracts: Engage in contract negotiations with customers, discussing pricing, financing options, warranties, and terms. Close deals by securing signed contracts and required deposits.
6. Coordinate installations: Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and technicians, to schedule and coordinate the installation process. Ensure a smooth transition from the sales phase to the installation phase.
7. Maintain customer relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to generate repeat business and referrals. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any post-installation concerns or questions.
8. Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in solar energy technology, government incentives, and regulations. Continuously educate yourself to better serve customers and provide up-to-date information.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the solar energy industry or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers.
- Strong presentation skills to deliver compelling sales pitches and overcome objections.
- Ability to understand customers' needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle a high volume of leads and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required for site visits and customer meetings.
