Gloucester Rugby, formed in 1873, are a Premiership rugby team based at Kingsholm Stadium in the city of Gloucester. We are looking for someone to lead and inpsire the venue sales department of Gloucester Rugby, ensuring the revenue targets are achieved and the company vision is executed both internally and to external stakeholders.
Working with the Sales Director to create strategic plans that maximise revenue for Gloucester Rugby and engage with all other departments in the commercial business. To budget for, plan and implement all actions required to deliver on the strategic sales plan.
To ensure that the venue sales team always deliver outstanding customer service when engaging with customers, working closely with the General Manager – Kingsholm.
To support the Sales Director to bring in high value conference bookings to Kingsholm stadium, as well as have a creative mindset.
To develop robust systems and data to deliver against the venue sales revenue targets.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the venue sales team ensuring that all employees have objectives, regular 1to1s, Mid-season and end of season reviews. Providing the Sales Director with regular performance updates.
2. Cost and budget management for all department requirements, and work closely with General Manager, Kingsholm Stadium to develop efficiencies and outstanding customer service for all venue sales clients.
3. Ensure that Annual box holder renewal process is delivered and revenue targets achieved, working with the venue sales team.
4. Drive the Venue Sales Team to ensure annual conference and events and match day hospitality targets are achieved.
5. Inspire the 1873 Sales Manager to grow 1873 Club revenues annually.
6. Create unique, and market leading, tactics and approach, working with Sales Director, to secure new high value conference bookings to the club. Using data and insights to achieve this.
7. Regularly review and benchmark the hospitality and conference offering across the Premiership and other sports.
8. Manage any agency relationships across the venue sales team.
9. Work closely with the Head of Marketing to agree annual marketing, brand and tone of voice for venue sales customers.
10. Maintain a robust CRM system that delivers positive revenue outcomes and a single customer view across partnerships and venue sales, working with any appointed agency.
11. Work with the Sales Director to develop innovative use of Kingsholm Stadium for new revenue opportunities.
12. Work closely with head of partnerships to hit annual revenue targets for the commercial department.
