Electric City is a leading Lighting Design and Electrical Wholesaler established 39 years ago based in Harrow, Middlesex.

Our business deals with both, private and trade customers and we are currently recruiting for a Sales Assistant for our Trade Counter.

We are looking for a person with motivation, ability to work on a busy trade counter, and is a team player to become part of our amazing team.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Job Type: Full-time.

• Salary: Competitive – DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

• Language: English (FLUENT)

• Experience: 2 years (REQUIRED)

ABOUT YOU

• Minimum 2 years experience of working in a Trade Sales Counter environment (ESSENTIAL)

• Good understanding of written and spoken English (ESSENTIAL)

• Basic mathematical skills (ESSENTIAL)

• IT Skills (BASIC LEVEL)

• Ability to manage time and resources to ensure adherence to multiple deadlines.

• Attention to detail and work accuracy

• You will need to be a good communicator as you will be working closely with a team of experienced operatives and dealing with Trade and the Public

JOB DUTIES:

• You will be the first sales contact for our Trade customers

• Representing our team at Trade Sales Counter, you will help our customers, predominantly electricians and builders.

• You don't need to be an expert in Trade, it is all about building a relationship with the clients.

• Have a good knowledge of electrical products.

• Deal with customers professionally on the phone, in person, and by email, in order to build a customer base.

• You will assist customers with their inquiries, from quotation to order.

• Process payment transactions.

• Liaising with suppliers.

• Manage stock inventories.

• Contribute to performance and productivity targets set for staff.

• Remain focused under pressure in a time-sensitive environment.

SCHEDULE:

• Day shift

• Monday to Saturday
