About us
Assemble You is an audio-first provider bringing a unique product to the corporate learning industry. Our podcast-style courses are designed to be listened to on the go.
Each Assemble You course includes a 10-minute evidence-based, engaging audio track recorded with a professional voice actor. It comes underpinned by a transcript, a further reading list, an infographic, and multiple-choice questions.
The Assemble You library is 130-strong, with new titles added every two months.
Assemble You also develops bespoke courses for customers. This role would cover both business units.
We're looking for our first SDR to help find and prospect into potential customers who could benefit from our service. You’ll be the primary line of contact with many of our future customers. We’re looking for a quick learner with amazing communication skills and the ability to present the business in a positive way. You will report directly into the founders, Adam and Rich, who currently handle all the organisation's sales.
This role is fully remote and suitable for someone new to sales with a passion for startups. You will be required to attend around 8 in-person industry events each year in Manchester, Birmingham and London. Travel and accommodation will be provided for these.
The Role
● Represent the company’s products and services.
● Generate leads for the founders, build relationships, and nurture prospects to find new sales opportunities.
● If successful, you’ll progress quickly into managing your own opportunities.
Responsibilities
● Utilise email, LinkedIn and cold calling to generate new leads.
● Manage the automated outreach tools the company uses. Test different messaging and monitor.
● Manage the follow-up from in-person events to book demo calls.
● Running the admin for the sales team, including updating contact details and scheduling follow-up calls.
Essential for the role
● Excellent problem-solving skills. We’re a growing business and don’t have all the answers yet. We need people that can think on their feet.
● Brilliant time management skills. You’ll be working remotely and will need great time discipline combined with self drive to ensure you get results.
● Be comfortable with rejection. You’ll get a lot of “no’s”. You need to be comfortable with this to excel in this role.
● Great communication skills. We need someone who is eloquent, inquisative and comfortable presenting.
● A good sense of humour.
Nice to have
● Some sales experience, but this isn’t necessary. Sales training will be provided on joining.
● A degree or similar qualification.
