Job Summary
A field and home-based Sales manager role leading one of Trustmarque’s Commercial sales teams. This team will consist of a number of internal and external sales professionals who have a specific focus on maintaining and growing sales penetration in the enterprise space within the commercial sector, encompassing existing and new prospect growth accounts. The role carries full performance and target responsibility for the individual and overall team performance, of which, an attractive OTE package will be awarded. This will be a remote role, but travel will be required throughout the UK as necessary including regular visits to Trustmarque offices and hubs.
Accountabilities and main responsibilities
The main responsibilities are detailed below, although you would also be expected to perform a range of other operational duties and management cover across the business from time to time.
Sales & Leadership
- Drive increased sales performance and activity individually and by leading the team within the territory to achieve agreed targets.
- Lead and support the sales team through individual or team driven sales opportunities.
- Implement and drive new Sales initiatives with support from Services, Partner and Marketing teams in-house.
- Manage and motivate the sales team in line with excellent management practice adhering to Trustmarque’s HR governance, policies and procedures.
- Support and develop your team in line with training and development requirements
- Manage budget/P&L diligently and in accordance with the corporate allocation and expectations.
Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
- Produce and implement a tactical sales plan that supports Trustmarque’s Sales strategy and underpins budget expectations for the team.
- Create and assign effective and compliant sales targets across the sales team.
- Manage your own and the team to their sales plans using weekly/monthly forums.
- Present an accurate pipeline/forecast update to the Senior Management weekly.
- Implement, monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators to deliver maximum team performance.
- Provide monthly board packs specific to team and individual performance reports.
Relationship Management
- Maintain and develop local and national vendor/partner relationships in order to further enhance and develop existing/new lines of business into existing and or new target accounts.
- Establish a clear understanding of Partner/Marketing/Services initiatives in order to comply with and support corporate vendor/partner collaborations/goals.
Operational
- Conformance to TMS Security policy & procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook, and ownership of implementing security directives from relevant managers (for example Senior Managers, HR & IS Managers) from time to time.
- Adherence to HR, H&S and Security with all concerns and or incidents reported in accordance to policy.
