Job Title: IT Business Development Manager
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience + benefits.

Verus Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic Sheffield-based client who specialises in sustainable IT solutions. This client is passionate about helping their customers reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact by providing energy-efficient IT solutions that use recycled materials and are easily recyclable. They also offer end-to-end IT services that can help businesses streamline their IT operations and improve their overall efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and delivering profitable business growth. You will be responsible for growing their client portfolio, pursuing new business opportunities, and leading sales and marketing strategies. You will also have experience in researching and identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, and emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Bringing in business by managing existing customer accounts and identifying potential customers.
  • Implementing a business-to-business sales plan to deliver increased revenue from corporate partners, including administration and growth, business development and working with related parties.
  • Promote, present, and sell products within our portfolio to prospective and existing customers using industry and company knowledge.
  • Managing a range of partners to ensure we deliver maximum revenue benefit, contributing to an annual revenue target.
  • Track record of commercial management experience in the IT sector with experience in IT asset disposal or brokerage sales. Ideally with some experience working with clients in the data centre and hosting space.
  • Reviewing and developing operational processes to improve performance and maximise growth.
  • Establishing new marketing activities and working with relevant teams to make sure campaigns are carried out successfully.
  • Staying aware of the latest trends and developments and representing a company at industry events and networking events.
About you:
  • Ideally 6 years of experience in the IT industry, with a proven track record of success in sales and business development.
  • Strong relationships with key decision-makers in the IT industry.
  • A deep understanding of the IT market and the latest trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A confident and articulate presenter.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • A results-oriented mindset and a proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experienced in IT asset disposal.
  • worked with data centres.
  • Skilled in undertaking technology refresh with clients.
