An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales to lead and manage the sales operations within the multiple grocery channel for our Cheese Business Unit. You will play a crucial role in continuing SDUK’s success and supporting our new growth strategy called ‘Bigger. Better. SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
- Leading, managing and overseeing the sales operation within the multiple grocery channel.
- Being data driven in setting, managing and achieving the team’s sales goals through robust reviews and forecasts.
- Developing creative growth strategies to maximise the sales opportunities available.
- Consolidating and reacting to market feedback to drive innovation within the multiple grocery channel and wider business.
- Executing the strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base of the SDUK business.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships and partner with them to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and the strategic direction of the accounts.
- Leading, managing and developing a team of sales professionals who are customer centric, collaborative and accountable.
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
- An accomplished sales professional with experience in an FMCG multiple grocery food or drinks environment.
- Able to demonstrate a proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, articulate the distinct aspect of products and position products against competitors.
- Experienced in managing a team with a track record of developing talent.
- Able to demonstrate where you have successfully engaged, and inspired, a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across a business and with customers.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of commercial & business acumen.
