Overlooking the historic City Walls and Monk Bar, the city’s largest Medieval gateway, the hotel is within walking distance to York Minster and other main attractions.
The DoubleTree by Hilton York comprises of 143 air-conditioned guest rooms, The Yorkshire Bar and Grill, Orangery, 24-hour fitness center and 2,400 sq. ft. of flexible, state-of-the art event space, an ideal setting for weddings, special events or meetings for up to 250 delegates.
We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Sales Manager to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton York.
This position is perfect for an individual who is looking to advance their career in Sales, working in a prestigious branded property and with a thriving and experienced wider Sales team.
Based within the hotel, you will work closely with the General Manager and the UK Sales Director to assist in driving strategy and top line revenue via various sources; strive to achieve budget and sales targets. This exciting role offers the opportunity to gain experience within various market segments.
Your main responsibilities would be to:
- Maintain relationships with local corporate businesses and agencies
- Source new business
- Manage the RFP process
- Review and create new packages and content for marketing material
- Drive customer engagement through various brand led incentives
- Represent the hotel on various trade shows, exhibitions, external appointments
- Maintain an active presence on Social media to promote the Hotel
- Work with the wider sales team to gain maximum exposure within the hospitality industry
- Keep yourself informed of any industry intel, trends and initiatives that may impact the hotel or local area

- Experience in a sales role with a proven track record in closing sales
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Knowledge of local market and the hospitality industry
- A real passion for sales and drive to achieve targets and objectives
- Qualification (or comparable experience) in a relevant field
- Experience of working with a hotel brand
Your own reliable transport is needed as regular client visits, 'fam trips', and visits to other M&T managed properties is expected. Business miles are paid through expenses.
