Job description

Venture Stream, one of the North East’s leading ecommerce and digital marketing agencies, is on the lookout for a Sales Development Executive to join our established team of experts.

As a Sales Development Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the Business Development function of the agency and be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and assisting the Business Development Manager in qualifying and closing leads.

Working closely with the BDM, internal marketing function & directors, you’ll be part of the driving force of business development for the agency, bringing new client opportunities to the table and following their commercial journey with Venture Stream.

As our agency offers a full range of services across digital marketing, ecommerce and overarching strategy with a particular expertise in ecommerce, a consultative approach and knowledge in these areas will help you understand client needs and maximise success rates in winning new business. Don’t worry, you’ll have the support of an experienced team and Business Development Manager to ensure you hit the ground running.

You’ll be identifying leads, prospects and opportunities to target - then you’ll be contacting and qualifying leads to ensure we can work together; getting appointments in the diaries of our BDM and director team to close opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new strategic prospects for Venture Stream to target
  • Research and qualify new prospects to ensure we’re talking to the right companies
  • Work with the Business Development Manager in outreach, inbound and administrative tasks to support the sales process
  • Work with all levels of management from channel managers to company directors to ensure the sales function has all it needs to be effective

  • Knowledge of business development and sales, ideally in an agency environment
  • Professional and polite manner
  • Approachable, communicative and proactive - no fear of cold calling, emailing or reaching out via social media
  • The ability to be a self starter and be highly motivated to succeed
  • Ability to multi-task & manage multiple client contacts
  • Team player
  • The ability to work towards and strive for targets

Salary: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
