The Role
As Denzel's Sales Executive, your job will be to manage and grow our direct independent trade channel, mainly focused on pet stores, garden centres, farm shops, dog-friendly independent pubs and cafes. As well as managing our speciality wholesale partners.
This includes:
- Account management - nurturing relationships with our independent retail customers, with regular calls and in-store visits.
- New Business development - building Denzel’s independent distribution through direct and wholesale channels.
- Internal lead for the independent channel - ownership of the financials, forecasts, trade spend and retailers’ plans in line with KPIs.
- Supporting NPD launches and working closely with the Marketing Team to deliver in-store and brand awareness campaigns, driving ROS in our independent retailers, to deliver our budget goals.
- Attending various consumer events and trade shows to raise awareness of the Denzel’s brand and gain new partners.
As a challenger healthy snack brand (for our four-legged friends), we want Denzel's treats to be easy to find when dogs and their owners are out and about. The Independent retail channel is a key driver in making this possible and spreading the word about Denzel’s! There are thousands of independent stores across the UK ready to become a retailer, plenty for Denzel to get his teeth stuck into. Can you help?
Who are we looking for?
- Minimum of 1 year ofsales experience
- Experience within FMCG is a bonus but not essential
- Strong communication skills: we are looking for somebody who is personable, a confident speaker, has fantastic phone manner and can instantly build rapport with our customers
- Good with numbers - this role will require weekly forecasting and reporting to the Sales Team
- Flexible and hard-working - some travel around the UK for store visits and customer meetings is required
