Small and Medium Business (SMB) is a key sales channel for BT, and an exciting segment in BT Business, putting focus on small and medium business customers.
Our purpose in SMB is to be the engine for growth for UK small businesses, ensuring they have brilliant solutions to help their businesses thrive. In a highly competitive market, the Sales Advisor is responsible for developing and growing business with a portfolio of SMB customers.
What you'll be doing
- Work with a defined account base of small SMB customers, who typically have single sites and relatively simple order needs. B2B Sales
- Typically sell BT & EE's standard products - across mobile, connectivity, and IP voice. You may sell products across multiple towers to the same customer if required to meet their needs.
- Develop successful, sustainable, and profitable relationships within the defined account base.
- Following BT sales methodology and procedures to; retain, develop and grow businesses such as, effective questioning to landscape accounts.
- Thrive in a target driven, customer facing environment in order to achieve targets and KPIs. Targets may include; customer contact activity, pipeline health and SOV/ revenue growth.
Essential skills
- Confident and effective communicator - able to listen, influence, guide, and convey messages articulately both written and verbally.
- Comfortable using IT systems, databases, and software packages - previous experience with databases, confident with data, emails and UC such as Teams.
- Customer service skills - awareness of how to approach and deal with customers wants and needs, setting expectations and providing solutions.
- Track record of achieving/ exceeding targets - motivated and driven by targets, able to focus on outcomes and organise workload to maximise achievement of targets.
- Adaptable and willing to learn - able to take guidance, constructive feedback and follow processes taught during training and beyond. To be flexible to try new methods when guided to do so.
What we would like to see on your CV
- Sales experience is advantageous - although this is not essential. Being willing to learn, driven and ambitious goes a long way!
- Experience in a contact centre environment or evidence of being used to working in a busy and fast paced environment.
