Internal Sales Engineer
Established in 1991, Colson X-Cel (part of the wider X-Cel Group of Companies) designs and manufactures a range of Double Block & Bleed and Instrument valves. An approved supplier to global blue chip operators, Colson X-Cel holds an extensive worldwide reference list and is known for its leading valve technology for safe and reliable products in critical and severe applications.
Based close to M1 J33/34, the team designs, machines, assembles, tests and QA all products onsite at the Advanced Manufacturing Park – the national hub of engineering expertise.
As part of the expansion of the team, we are releasing a brand new opportunity for an Internal Sales Engineer.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who has a strong desire to learn and grow within our business, whether you're a graduate of mechanical engineering or if you've worked in a similar environment (with valves/pumps or similar critical components) we are open to either, and will provide the necessary technical training.
Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in maintaining key customer accounts & relationships for both UK and Export sales
- Raise and review commercial and technical quotations
- Review and process customer purchase orders, working with specialist software
- Following up quotations and leads
- Liaising with relevant internal departments to ensure the order process runs smoothly from start to finish
- Support the wider sales team
Our successful candidate:
- Would ideally bring experience working on similar products within the valve industry
(training & support will be provided)
- Educated to BA Hons in Business or Mechanical Engineering (Desirable but not essential)
- Detail orientated, strong work ethic & a positive ‘will do’ attitude
- Follows management directions to achieve results
- Excellent planning, organisation & communication skills
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn
- Ability to work alone and as part of a busy team
Hours of work:
Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-12:00 (39 hours per week/these hours may be tailored to meet individual needs if required)
